Haydon Stanley


Haydon Stanley serves as a Principal in Fiveash Stanley, consistently ranked as one of the State’s most influential government affairs consulting firms by Georgia’s political elite.

For twenty-five years, Haydon has piloted his clients to hundreds of legislative victories. His experience in the passage and defeat of legislation, budget appropriations and actions before the Public Service Commission and the State’s various agencies and departments have produced an impressive record of results.

Prior to the creation of Fiveash Stanley, Haydon served as Director of Government Affairs for the Atlanta and Georgia Apartment Associations for nearly a decade. During this time, he led the industry as it faced and effectively met an array of governmental and political challenges. As Director of Government Affairs, Haydon was responsible for developing the industry’s governmental relations efforts.

Haydon has also worked at the Georgia Legislature for then Republican Representative Jack Kingston of Savannah, who has served in Congress since 1993. He lived in Washington,D.C. serving in the position of a Congressional Affairs Liaison for the U.S. Department of Labor during the George Bush Administration. His earliest experience came as a staff member for the successful 1988 Bush/Quayle Presidential Campaign and Presidential Inaugural Committee.

Haydon, recognized as an expert in the field of issue management and advocacy, is a frequent panelist and speaker at state and national industry meetings. An active Board member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, he served as an officer on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Chamber’s Government Affairs Council. He also serves as a Board Member at the Newnan Country Club and The Heritage School.

He has served as Deacon, Elder and Clerk of the Session at the Newnan Presbyterian Church, a past Director of the Newnan Rotary Club, the Flint River Council of the Boy Scouts and is a graduate of the 2002 class of Leadership Georgia.

Haydon, his wife Virginia, and their two sons, Haydon, III and Jack, live in Newnan.
