Haydon Stanley serves as a Principal in Fiveash Stanley, consistently ranked as one of the State’s most influential government affairs consulting firms by Georgia’s political elite.
Haydon is recognized as an expert in the field of issue management and advocacy and is frequently a panelist and speaker at state and national industry meetings. An active member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, he has previously served as an officer on the Board of Directors and was Chairman of the Government Affairs Council.
His earliest experience came as a staff member for the successful 1988 Bush/Quayle presidential campaign and presidential inaugural committee. Haydon lived in Washington, DC serving as a Congressional Affairs liaison for the US Department of Labor during the George Bush administration. He then returned to Georgia, working for the Georgia House of Representatives and the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.
Haydon directed Government Affairs for the Georgia Apartment Association, where he led the industry as it faced and effectively met an array of governmental and political challenges. In that role, he was responsible for development and implementation of the industry’s local and state governmental relations effort.
He has served as Deacon, Elder and twice as Clerk of Session at the Newnan Presbyterian Church. Haydon is a past director of the Newnan Rotary Club, a former Trustee at The Heritage School and a graduate of the 2002 class of Leadership Georgia.
Haydon and his wife Virginia live in Newnan with their two sons, Haydon and Jack.
